Sometimes the best way forward begins with a different perspective.
You don't need to move faster. Try a different angle.
Coaching isn't about changing who you are. It's about seeing yourself—and your strengths—with fresh eyes.
Coaching isn't about fixing, it’s about thriving.
Q: Why do athletes and sports teams have a coach?
A: For game strategies and metal well-being, for skill development and performance analysis, for confidence building and team culture.
Similarly I help you to:
Understand yourself, your blind spots and your untapped potential
Maintain peak mental health
Understand others and play to their strengths
Develop a tolerance for different communication styles
Move confidently and authentically through uncharted territory
Create ripples
Harry Kane didn't become England's record goalscorer by working on his weaknesses. He became exceptional by understanding and repeatedly using his strengths. Yet many of us spend our lives trying to fix ourselves instead of developing what's already strong.
Sabalenka doesn't try to become another player. She understands her own game. Great leadership works the same way.
Coaching for clarity, strength and purpose.
Coaching isn't about fixing what's wrong.
It's about creating the time and space to recognise what's already strong and use it more intentionally.
Whether you're stepping into leadership, navigating a career transition or simply wanting to reconnect with what matters, coaching helps you pause, reflect and move forward with confidence.
My approach
My work is grounded in the internationally recognised VIA Character Strengths framework.
Character strengths are universal qualities that help people flourish across cultures, professions and communities.
I think of them as our inner bearings.
When we understand our strengths, we gain a clearer sense of direction, make better decisions and lead more authentically.
Every coaching conversation is designed to help you understand yourself more deeply and translate that insight into meaningful action.
Coaching can help you
Build confidence and self-awareness.
Navigate leadership and career transitions.
Clarify your direction.
Lead with authenticity.
Strengthen relationships.
Make confident decisions.
Reconnect with purpose and motivation.
Common themes
Finding your voice

What working together feels like
Clients often describe my coaching as informal, conceptually creative (I love working with metaphors) and gently challenging. We won’t dig too deep (this isn’t therapy), but instead we’ll figure out a playful and inquisitive approach to revealing your best self.
I'll ask questions that help you see yourself differently, notice patterns you've overlooked and recognise strengths that have become hidden beneath the pace of everyday life.
The aim isn't to become someone new.
It's to become fully your.
Client Reviews
“As part of a leadership coaching program, I was recommended to Cate to work specifically on issues I had identified as challenges in my future promotion process. These focused on my own wellbeing: emotional resilience, establishing boundaries, and accepting my limitations. The mindset shifts as a result of ongoing coaching are even more obvious to me now and I can see how they will gradually take hold and become part of my arsenal to meet future promotion ambitions as well as balance within my working and personal lives.”
— Emma, Acting Sergeant, Metropolitan Police“Cate helped me to overcome a sense of imposter syndrome and helped me to draw on my strengths to develop strategies to feel empowered. Since my sessions with Cate I have felt able to support and develop my team with new tools to both bring the team together and promote confidence within the team.”
— Mel Gannon, NHS Supervisor“A key benefit of my coaching with Cate has been the leadership development and interpersonal skills development. Detectives can often work in teams, interact with diverse communities and collaborate with other law enforcement agencies. Coaching has helped me strengthen communication, conflict resolution and leadership abilities, which enables me to inspire the teams I work with, build trust with the public and navigate complex interpersonal dynamics effectively.”
